Since 2013, Simone has been an integral part of the Investment Management team specializing in international transaction and asset management, especially for European investments. In her current role, working with both Udo Stöckl and Amy Erixon, Simone recently represented the buyer in Avison Young’s first investment transaction in Cologne, Germany, which closed April 2014. Simone was assigned with the Asset Management of the property thereafter.
Prior to working with Avison Young, Simone gained industry experience in the residential and commercial real estate market in both Germany and Canada. In her previous position as an Acquisitions Analyst with Allianz Real Estate Germany, she was involved in direct investments in office and retail properties in Germany as well as Central Eastern Europe.
Simone’s international background along with her fluency in German and English is a huge benefit for introducing Europe as a new market to our North-American clients. This introduction goes beyond the actual investment and explains differences in business cultures, general market practice and regulatory differences.
Simone holds a diploma degree (Graduate Business Administrator) in Real Estate Management from the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany and an active member of NAIOP-Developing leaders and CREW.
