Avison Young condemns violence and intolerance in all forms

19. März 2021

Right now there’s an all-too-familiar feeling of unease and anxiety in many parts of the world. Whether it’s stemming from the recent uptick in violence and racism against Asian Pacific Islander Americans in the U.S. or the abduction and murder of Sarah Everard in the U.K., we are again at a critical point where the issues of racism, violence and social injustice must be faced, addressed and combatted.

While the instances are not the same, they are connected by the threads of violence, prejudice and privilege. Avison Young condemns violence and intolerance in all forms and stands in solidarity with our Asian Pacific Islander American and women employees and clients.

At Avison Young, we have committed to having uncomfortable conversations. To doing the work that needs to be done. As a global citizen it is our responsibility to be part of the solution and we are now going to examine what that looks like and how we can expand our Diversity and Inclusion efforts.

Sincerely,

Mark E. Rose
